  Core Privacy Commitment: All source code analysis, heuristic pattern scanning, and input defense transformations are executed 100% locally in your web browser. No source code, text snippets, or user-provided parameters are ever transmitted to or stored on any server.
 

1. Code & Input Data Security

Sanitize operates entirely on client-side JavaScript and browser Web Workers. When you paste or upload code files into the scanner:

Your code is processed in volatile browser memory on your device.
No code data is sent over the network to our servers or any third party.
Closing or refreshing the browser tab instantly clears all unsaved in-memory content.

2. Browser Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage purely to remember your personal interface preferences and voluntary scan summaries:

Saved Scan Summaries: If you explicitly click "Save Scan", only metadata (timestamp, character count, and finding titles) is stored locally. Raw source code is never saved.
Scanner Preferences: Dismissed rules or ignored findings are saved locally so they remain hidden on your next visit.

You can clear this data at any time via the "Reset Ignored" / "Clear History" buttons or your browser's site data settings.

3. Third-Party Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics (Google tag) to understand aggregate, non-personally identifiable usage metrics (such as visitor counts, device types, and general geographical region). Google Analytics may place cookies on your device to collect standard internet log data.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. Advertising Partners
